Maths and Astronomy!!

Today we went to Blackrock Observatory. We learned about the Planets, Our Solar system and The Milky Way. Frances, our guide talked about, how far planets are away from eachother and other galaxies. The Solar system books are wrong! The space between the planets are different. Uranus is half-way between the Sun and the Kuiper belt. We made our mini Solar system, using a long a strip of paper. The Hubble deep field is the furthest galaxy we can see through a special telescope. It takes 13.7 billion light years to get there. Travelling at the speed of light, you can go around the Earth, 7 times in one second. WOW! that is along way away.
